Please read the following important information regarding COVID-19 before attending your appointment.

Pre-Treatment checks

·         Have you tested positive or had treatment for COVID-19?

·         Have you, or has anyone you are in close contact with, had any of the following signs or symptoms associated with coronavirus - temperature of 38 degrees or over, a new persistent cough, or loss of or change in sense of smell or taste? If you or anyone you are in close contact with has symptoms of the virus, please STAY AT HOME and DO NOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT.

If you have been overseas in the last ten days, please STAY AT HOME.

·         Have you been strictly following the social distancing measures outlined by the government during COVID-19?

·         Did you check your temperature this morning and was it normal?

 

We will:

·         contact you 24 hours before planned treatment to check whether you are in self-isolation or have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19. If the answer is yes to either of these questions, please DO NOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT and self-isolate for the recommended time. You may wish to check your temperature on the morning of your appointment.  If this is higher than usual, you may wish to defer treatment;

·         ask that clients attend their appointment alone unless chaperoning a minor;

·         ask clients to bring and wear their own clean, fresh face mask if possible;

·         ask you to bring your own drink if possible;

·         allow extra time for each appointment for consultations, carrying out hygiene protocols between clients and ensuring that they are not leaving and arriving at the same time;

·         ask that you WAIT OUTSIDE THE BUILDING until you are invited in via the intercom or in person;

·         ask you to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser as soon as you arrive for treatment, to help protect everybody using the premises;

·         ask ALL clients to leave a record of their details and treatments as part of the Test and Trace policy;

·         ask you to touch as little as possible while you are on the premises;

·         wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as a visor and face mask which will be disposed of properly according to government guidelines;

·         cover any fabric items in a non-porous material that can be effectively wiped down with disinfectant and then covered with something soft and replaceable/washable between clients if this cannot be done to the fabric items themselves.  Alternatively, something that can be replaced/washed between clients will be used, such as a rolled up towel;

·         use single use/ disposable alternatives where available and practical, until the pandemic has passed;

·         wear durable, disposable gloves during treatment where possible and when cleaning work premises and treatment space;

·         ask that payment is made via bank transfer the day before your treatment or by debit/credit card only if possible;

·         ventilate the treatment room between clients;

·         use a foot-operated pedal bin with a lid and plastic liner for rubbish;

·         store dirty laundry in a plastic, resealable bag that can be disposed of once emptied;

·         use a disposable apron if required;

·         ask you to sanitize your hands when you leave the building.

Enhanced hygiene measures – these areas/items will be cleaned regularly:

·         a front door buzzer

·         door handles, banisters

·         light switches

·         toilet and sink area

·         pens

·         payment terminal
